Holly Roach's "Ladies A Plate" circular artworks are created on a solid mango wood and were part of a group exhibition we hosted at the gallery.
In Holly's own words:
Unapologetic ( for using this much pink)
This work captures a still moment in time from one of my favourite sights each year. The loud burst of the Cherry blossoms and with it, the arrival of hordes of Tui to take advantage and drink heavily. It's one of those sights that stop me in my tracks, to watch and listen, before it disappears for another year.
In Hope of a Brighter Winter
The gorgeous bloom of the Magnolia is always a treat in the still grey days of winter. I like to think it knows that its gracefully beauty is exactly what is needed to carry us through to Spring.
