Heather Grouden's "Ladies A Plate" circular artworks are created on a solid mango wood plate and were part of a group exhibition we hosted at the gallery.
"The title of the Show “ Ladies a Plate” evoked for me, a very feminine image with the Rose as a symbol of love and romance and with its spiralling form it seemed perfect for a “round” format. In the work itself, I wanted to achieve a contrast between the detail and delicacy of the rose with a more abstract setting to give it more colour and vibrancy." - Heather Grouden
