Poroporo Earrings & Necklace | Liliy Griffin
Part of the Lily Griffin 'Charmed Elements' Collection Poroporo flowers are traditionally used by Maori in Rongoa (healing medicine from plants) to alleviate skin conditions such as eczema and ulcers, this native plant has striking purple flowers and orange berries. Poroporo was planted around Maori settlements to provide ripe orange berries to eat (the unripe, yellow berries are poisonous!), along with leaves used to line a hangi to enhance flavour.
