This work captures a still moment in time from one of my favourite sights each year. The loud burst of the Cherry blossoms and with it, the arrival of hordes of Tui to take advantage and drink heavily. It's one of those sights that stop me in my tracks, to watch and listen, before it disappears for another year.

"Since the first lockdown I’ve had a lot of satisfaction with the use of a new medium “alcohol inks.” It tends to have a mind of its own like watercolour and I love that quality.The use of repurposed gold mirror glass which glows on the wooden plate which was supplied gave me a ready made canvas to play with with no harsh angles.
